We found this Best Western extremely comfortable and clean, the bed and pillows especially, and the breakfast was above average. It is very handy for visiting Oyster Bay, Sagamore (Teddy Roosevelt) , Old Westbury Gardens (see it) , etc. The staff always polite and helpful. The office is located behind a restaurant on the same property, but we found the large diner within sight and easy walking distance a good choice. If you need a place to stay in this area, this is a fine choice

We spend a week on Long Island to have a mixture of Manhattan and relaxing holiday. Also we wanted to avoid NYC prices and small hotel rooms.  The hotel location served that purpose rather well. We made the week without a car, but many people probably wouldn't do that. The trip to Manhattan by LIRR gets a bit boring after a while, but everybody can check the timetables for her or himself. Next bus stop is right in front of the hotel, but has only very limited service. Another one is 10 minutes walking distance with hourly service. Taxi to the train is $10. Hotel also provide a free shuttle to the train station. Reservations are required.

A restaurant is less than 5 minutes walking distance, a supermarket 8 minutes. There is also a shopping plaza just across the road, but it looked like there were only pretty high-end speciality shops, which we were not interested in.  A hiking and biking trail starts about 8 minutes walk from the hotel. Ocean beach can be reached even by public transport.

Jericho Turnpike is a pretty busy highway even during the night, but the hotel is located a bit back and it was very quiet although our room was facing towards the highway.

The room was very clean. Bathroom was well maintained. WiFi is available in the room and the lobby.  I noticed they also have hardwired access on the desk.

Overall we were quite satisfied.
